Our Process

At Oxwolds we create eye-catching furniture, accessories and interiors which create a striking focal point. Our initial design, the wall hung Wine displays certainly has proved this works and many clients are thrilled with them. Each one a bespoke piece of history as the material I source is generally hundreds of years aged. Naturally with any business and as we are evolving we are creating new products and collections. Each piece is a unique one off. For us, it’s all about the drama and placement of these statement pieces allowing them to sit in a space where they stand out all on their own as they so well deserve.

It is crucial to the design that I ensure each board is unique and full of character. I hand select the pieces myself knowing that the more waney edges and interesting burrs, the more stunning the final piece. The wood yards we use are a treasure trove of beautiful wood. Each board is thoroughly studied to ensure we bring out its natural features. We carefully outline the position of the holes and due to the waney edge of the rough timber we manually drill, cut and mould each hole sympathetically. These beautiful pieces are finished with a natural oil which acts as a penetrating sealer, it deepens the colour and highlights the natural grain. Every step of our process ensures that your bespoke piece is completely unique.

We choose all of our materials depending on their interesting character. We are currently drawn to gorgeous Cotswold Oak, Blenheim Oak, stunning Bladon Yew and a striking Lake Bayano Panama. Along with many more exotic materials.

Coming home or into that special space should feel inviting welcoming and a reflection of who you are, your personality - your space should feel comfortable and secure.

Understanding my client and their needs on how they want their home to feel is key, the style and the ambience of a space must feel right from an emotional to a practical one. Getting this right starts from the colour of walls along with textures and materials you choose for your flooring and style of furniture and how they all must harmonise. Are you drawn to light white open plan spaces or is it the dramatic dark moody palette giving you that cosy and expensive feel, more importantly getting into my clients headspace is crucial to uncover their likes, dislikes, needs wants and ultimate dreams. There are so many layers that need to be explored. Only then do I begin to have a good feel for my clients needs which takes me to the next steps of becoming acquainted with each room/space and then the process begins and the fun part commences,
